thanks to glocalization, many items that are more related to the local cuisine and are not neccessarily part of the traditional menu of these franchises, are available to accompany one's meal.

mc donald's is always growing in popularity, and considered a treat by the locals.  with over 70 stores in rio de janeiro it is second only to bob's, estimated to have over 130.
