educational agreements done in collaboration between the two governments allowed several Barbadian students to travel to Brazil for university studies, while also promoting both countries as beautiful travel destinations - Barbados does not have a permanent consulate in the city of Rio, but they are represented by their own embassy in Brasília and have opened temporary consulates in times of global events such as the FIFA world cup and the Olympic games.
