not far from ipanema and leblon beaches, one of the most interesting hikes in the city, with some of the best views, is the dois irmãos trail, in the leblon neighborhood.

the dois irmãos, translated as two brothers, are the two peaks of a hill at the western end of leblon beach, and are some of the most iconic natural landmarks of the city.

one of the side advantages of this particular trail is the starting point, as it is at the top of the favela vidigal giving the visitor the opportunity to know a favela hands-on.
