krav maga is not technically considered a martial art, but a deadly tool of self defense - it is one of the few activities people confuse as a marital art but it is not practiced as a sport. originating in israel, krav maga is a military fighting technique that is based on the principle of fighting for the least amount of time - with this in mind  participants use vicious and deadly strikes are to quickly subdue an attacker.
