at a glance
the urban rail transport system came into being in 1998, when supervia set up the rail network between 11 major cities in the metropolitan area - it was on november 1st, of that year, that it inaugurated, beginning a new transportation revolution in rio.

since then it has benefitted from over r$600 million of investment, making it one of the most extensive rain networks in the country - investments have helped installed some of the most modern pieces of equipment throughout the trains and the stations, whilst improving the infrastructure of the network.

in the following two years a new time schedule was introduced as well as customer service centre to improve communication between supplier and consumer.  arrow-back      arrow-forward
