praia do zumbi is bordered by the jequiá yacht club at the foot of morro do ouro (ouro hill), praia do engenhoca, and the guanabara bay. in fact, the jequiá yacht club as well as the admiral sousa e melo park were built on what was a large part of praia do zumbi, making it smaller and it is often confused as a continuation of praia do engenhoca. while the waters are often unsuitable to swim in, the large area is perfect for football games against the backdrop of the sea.
