at a glance | there are several kiosks along the beach, many beach vendors, and a wide variety of restaurants on rua coronel moreira césar, the street running parallel to the beach, one block away from it. furthermore, the beach is lit at night, so movement here does not end with the setting of the sun. réveillon (new year's eve) on the beach at icaraí is truly something to behold - a combination of more traditional brazilian celebrations with modern twists. festivities actually begin on december 29th and last for three days - events include demonstrations by dance groups and graffiti artists, free live music, samba school drummers, block parties and a world-class fireworks show to bring in the new year with a bang. |
