called the trem da samba (samba train), Each car has a different band and the celebration goes on to continue on the streets and beaches. In order to get on the trains, every person needs to donate 1kg of non-perishable food, which will then be distributed to health centers and shelters. throughout the city there is also samba singing and dancing, as the drums and the rhythms of samba fans bring to life to the city of samba. all samba clubs and bars have special celebrations on this day, additionally, the city traditionally offers a concert featuring famous performers to honor this day. |
