with musical shows as part of the event, over twenty gospel singers perform for the crowds, including very well known stars. acclaimed as a blessing for the city, this evangelical event sees participants from all religions, and it offers a great opportunity to see another angle of rio. since its first edition, the Festival Internacional de Circo do Rio de Janeiro has been regarded as the biggest event of the artistic genre in Latin America. For 10 days, during the month of May, Rio de Janeiro welcomes circus performers and every kind of artist to enjoy the magic in the yearly edition of this fest which attracts more than 250.000 to any of the 60 centers that host shows and activities around the city, of which 46 are located in favelas and some along the shores of Copacabana.
