one of teresópolis ' more intriguing cultural events is the moment known as 'os zéz na praça' - a new phenomenon, the movement was started in 2013, by musicians celso guimarăes and renata zé, with the aim to add to the local culture.

the idea is to host music shows in various locations across the city, to give local musicians the opportunity to display their talents - visitors interested in attending one of their events should look towards social media to find out exact schedules.   

founded in 1994, the festival nacional de dança de teresópolis is teresópolis' annual dance festival, focusing predominantly on ballet - with the objective of raising, promoting and enhancing cultural exchange through dance, seeing participation from various brazilian dance groups, classified in several categories and modalities.
