The blocos featured in the book are organized thematically across 265 pages, with the text content written solely in portuguese - Rich, colorful photos taken by Ana Carolina Fernandes and André Arruda accompany the text, visually depicting the vibrant energy and chaotic revelry inherent and exclusive to Carnaval in Rio de Janeiro.

Two full-spread maps outlining the locations and routes upon which the blocos take place are also included, giving the reader points of reference and a greater understanding of the relation between the blocos and the neighborhoods in which they parade.
