however, with the passing of years, they started assuming a more critical attitude towards the military regime from the time that the regime was becoming increasingly authoritarian. laws were published to justify the communication control of the state, and in the face of restrictions on the news and political social and economic expansion of the country, newspapers strengthened their publishing economy. in 1872 the brazilian newspapers tried to increase audience by installing the first newspapers and magazines newsstands, and a few years later, in 1875 the newspaper called 'gazeta de notícias' from rio de janeiro, became the first official brazilian to use color. with the beginning of democratization in brazil since 1985, and with the promulgation of the constitution of 1988, the principle of freedom of the press was consolidated. |
