although several efforts were made in order to deal with them, there is still workto be done -so, the government put in place an ample requalification program which includes a massive dredging of the local lagoons.  

some issues with pollution still persist and, especially after heavy rains, the lagoa at times looks polluted.

yet, the reflections in the lagoa of the mountains around it make of this neighborhood a very special place.
