the objective of
the paper is to examine,
using lyrics from samba music from the the 1930s and 1940s - taking as a
starting point the song 'oh,
seu oscar!' (1940), by
wilson batista and
ataulfo alves - the opposition between the regular and
ordinary world (including the family constitution and honest work) and the world
of the 'malandragem', highlighting the topic of the 'mulher da orgia' (women of
debauchery').
