the official réveillon party takes place praia de icaraí, one of the most famous beaches in niterói. on this beach, for three days people anticipate and get ready to party for the big day, and over this pre-réveillon atmosphere there are several musical performances, from rock to samba, while fireworks are tested. one of the most anticipated events along praia de icaraí is the bloco das piranhas, a street party that has been animating the neighborhood for nearly twenty years, gathering an amazing 80,000 people - with most of them being men in drag.

starting on the night of december 29th, are traditionally rich with rock and samba shows, along with lougo mouro, onda livre, planta & raiz, alex martinho, sinfônica ambulante, drenna rock and celta 5 are some of the artists who participated in the past to these pre-réveillon parties.
