The review of landscape architecture should encourage the development of 'green corridors' between clusters, in order to rescue relevant biogenic flows and connectivity between the remaining forest fragments.

It involves therefore the rescue of ecological, hydrological and mechanical functions that regulate the stability of slopes. This requires (re) planning and (re) functionalization of the urban-forest border area, without neglecting the control of the main causes of forest decline and the urgent need to expand the supply of affordable housing.
