In seeking to understand the processes of socialization that took place in samba circles, festivities and religious gatherings in the suburbs, we rely on texts and narratives from Sambistas (samba artists) from the districts of Madureira and Oswaldo Cruz.

These relate the celebrations that took place in their yards, the yards of friends, on the train and on the streets. In this research we offer a Contribution to the implementation of the law 10639/03 which establishes the teaching of African history and African Brazilian culture in basic education. arrow-back      arrow-forward
