The study was based on three research questions: a) who were these explainers; b) how did their socialization processes start towards teaching, and c) how did they operate in their work spaces? The results suggest that within their material conditions, teaching appeared as the possible answer for their professional aspirations, while their experiences as explainers offered the ideal conditions for their survival because it provided monthly incomes free of taxes, and the possibility of working while managing their households and staying close to their children.
