at a glance

next to the beach, on the morro do leme,  is the caminho dos pescadores (fishermen's path) a short walkway on the side of the hill that is used by local recreational fishermen and offers beautiful views of copacabana, the islands, and the hills.   

the neighborhood itself is also known for its small businesses, with its popular restaurants such as marius, galeria 1618, and the bistrôt du leme.

a few churches also exist within this mostly residential area, being the 'nossa senhora do rosário do leme' the most famous among them.

complete with bathrooms, showers and lockers, many of the nearby beach kiosks offer a variety of options for all budgets - while the famous restaurant marius is located just steps away from the entrance to the trail.
