the brazilian barbeque just might be the most common and beloved food in all of rio de janeiro, and can be found across dinner tables, accompanied with its beloved sides.

the churrasquinho, meaning little barbeque, is when grilled meat is eaten off of a skewer, which is sold on the street by vendors - this meat is often rolled in farofa to give it a crispy coating.

many popular dishes can be made with farofa, most notably farofa de ovo, which is essentially mixed with eggs and onions, and farofa mineira, which includes sausage, bacon, onion, raisins, onions and coriander.  arrow-back      arrow-forward
