Following the political approximation, educational bridges were built between Australian and Brazilian universities, allowing many students to make use of exchange programs between the two countries - In 2012, the mutually beneficial partnership was officially elevated to the status of 'strategic partnership', effectively bringing new possibilities in future negotiations by reducing barriers imposed to other countries.
