at a glance
Syria and Brazil have established international relations in 1945, immediately after the end of the second world war - With a very large population of Syrian origin residing in Brazil, the amicable and growing relation of Brazil and Syria was heavily struck by the conflict that began in march of 2011, bringing many casualties and delaying the development of international relations with Syria.

Along the process of war, Brazil actively sought a political solution and deeply condemned the excessive violence, human rights violations and acts of aggression, especially against civilians - Not only did Brazil receive several thousands of Syrian refugees, but it also coordinated with several other nations and institutions to provide solid support for the victims of the crisis in Syria. arrow-back      arrow-forward
