another popular hike in the city is the trail to pedra do cantagalo, in the parque da colina. the trail begins in the jacaré neighborhood, and takes participants on an enchanting journey, through small streams, springs, and untouched nature, all the while surrounded by rare monkeys and birds .

there are a number of different routes that hikers can chose, but all lead to the magnificent pedra do cantagalo, 403 meters high, with more astounding views at the peak.
