the saco do pinhão (basin of the date, a type of seed),  is located between praia grande on the ponta de tipitimirim, the ponta do valente, the two northern tips of ilha do governador - just across  from  boqueirão island. located inside the basin there is a small, but beautiful, beach: the praia do saco do pinhão. this part of the island is accessible only via special permit, as the navy maintains exclusive use of this area.
