the island of
ilha do governador in rio de
janeiro's
guanabara bay is surrounded by a collection of small
islands.
the majority of these islets are not common
touristic destination, as they are normally used for commercial
purposes, are just rocks, or at best fishing destination for
local fishermen - they do however look very picturesque as seen
from nay of the beaches around the island.
ilha do boqueirão,
which is the largest of these surrounding islands, and
ilha tipiti-acu,
made up of just rocks, are located just north of
ilha do governador.
