There are also a number of readings of the acclaimed and well-loved poets of Rio - Towards the end of2013, the singer Georgiana de Moraes, daughter of Vinícius de Moraes, teamed up with O Grupo vocal Quarteto em Cy to produce a show entitled Como dizia o poeta, or 'In the Words of the Poet', which revisited some of the popular classics in carioca poetry and masterfully intertwined the artistic modes of poetry and music.

Rio de Janeiro also hosts the Festa Literária Internacional de Paraty (FLIP) in July - a world-renowned literary festival that takes place in July of each year, as well as the Primavera dos Livros at the end of October, in catete - These festivals offer a wealth of new and old poetry readings which attract and enthrall audiences from around the world.
