Meia Hora, meaning 'Half an Hour', is a populist, daily tabloid, aimed at making the consumption of news quick, easy and uncomplicated.

It consists of between 34 and 44 pages, and uses local, popular language to appeal to a wider audience, many of whom were previously excluded from the consumption of periodicals - It is now the third most read newspaper in the state.
