vidigal is a very crowded community made of a maze of narrow roads, steep slopes, unpaved passages and crammed houses.  traffic is mostly limited to carts, bikes and moto-taxis that can be hired at the entrance of the favela and are a quick way to the top. 

The panoramic views from the top of the favela make for an exceptional photo opportunity of rio from above. Nevertheless, it is strongly recommended to avoid using cameras inside this favela, particularly large cameras and zoom lenses. Visitors should always be aware of their suroundings and consider the risks.
