ladeira dos tabajaras e morro dos cabritos are two small favelas located in the zona sul of rio, easily visible from copacabana at posto 3, and accessible through the bairro peixoto, a small sub-neighborhood in copacabana away from the beach and generally more tranquil then the rest of the beach-front neighborhood.

home to about 6000 people, these favelas are particularly quiet, and nearly all residents here have access to electricity, water, and sewer. 

there is public lighting in the streets, and more projects being implemented by the city to improve public access and overall urbanization of the communities.
