the solo coletivo also organizes regular parties catering to a variety of different crowds and music tastes on different nights. formed by five carioca artists. the collective has been leading the way in the production of events in vidigal since 2006 and is attracting more and more revellers from the otherwise detached residents of the moe affluent neighborhoods of zona sul. these parties have been instrumental in narrowing the gap between asphalt and hills.

another important part of vidigal's cultural contribution is the acadêmicos do vidigal, a bloco (street party) that gathers in leblon for carnival and throughout the year - sport and community involvement is encouraged through initiatives such as projeto boxe vidigal, a boxing club.
