this is mostly a support dockyard, meant to maintain the fleet. this base has also been subjected to several updates up to our days, keeping it in pace with the changes of technology and doctrine in the fleet.

the main access to both bases is the niterói- rio bridge, which goes straight through the middle of them, before further extending into the nearby cajú island, and finally ending in mainland niterói.

in proximity to mocangué are three other important sites. to the east is conceição island, which features a couple of slums and several dockyards.
