ilha comprida ('long island') is part of the cagarra archipelago, which is a group of uninhabited islands located directly south of ipanema beach in rio de janeiro

the arquipélago das cagarras is comprised of the  ilha cagarra, ilha das palmas, ilha comprida, ilha redonda, and the islets ilhotas da cagarra and ilhota redonda.

comprida might have the most superlatives of all the islands - for starters, it is both the longest and the largest (though not the tallest, losing to ilha cagarra by some 5 meters). arrow-back      arrow-forward
