ilha rasa is located near the cagarras
islands and the entrance to
guanabara bay in rio de janeiro.
while some consider it part of the cagarra
islands as a natural monument, officially it is not - we
included the island in this group as a reference to its
geographical position.
it
is the only inhabited island in the area, and furthermore
conspicuous because of the lighthouse situated on it, which
despite nearly 200 years of age still operates today.
