being very small in land area, laje da redonda is more known for diving - in fact it is known as one of the best diving points in rio.

it has many caverns and crevices between rocks to explore (it is even possible to swim under the islet), beautiful coral and a variety of colorful fish and other marine life to view.

visibility can vary quite a bit, at times being as little as 5 meters or as much as 20.

laje isn't necessarily the best diving spots for beginners, as it is the farthest from the shore of all the islands in the cagarra area and it offers no coves or other shelter for boats.
