parque penhasco dois irmãos, officially known as parque municipal sérgio bernardes, is a much praised green area of 39 hectares, on the slopes of the morro dois irmãos, located at the end of leblon beach. the easy-to-access park spans across the neighborhoods of leblon, gávea, vidigal, and rocinha and has an 800 meter trail comprising three stunning viewpoints along the way. dois irmãos is generally characterized as a mild to moderate hike - approximately 1.6 kilometers long, and can be completed in about one hour depending on one's inclination to stop at the various overlooks along the way. guided tours, tend to last much longer, around four hours, ostensibly to allow time for larger groups and for the guide to point out different features of the city along with the wildlife they may encounter.
