The objective of this study is to discuss this sport as an inclusive educational tool, guided by the principles of Educational Sport in work with children and adolescents who come from the Mangueira Community and its surroundings. We hypothesized that through the experiences obtained in GR lessons, still considered an elite practice in our country, the students would find a space to socially and artistically express themselves, producing knowledge that would facilitate their social integration and overall development. This research, still in progress, has as its justification in the improvement and development of the field of sports (particularly gymnastics), as well as the creation of a space for respectful dialogue and debate between sport and education, enriching and recognizing the necessity for the holistic progress of students, with emphasis on human development and the construction of positive values.
