when the new rail line was originally opened, it was called the estrada de ferro dom pedro ii to commemorate the then brazilian empire's emperor dom pedro ii. it was renamed the brazil central, and a new local station called estação cupertino was opened - originally, the station was named to honor the owner of the quarry who supplied materials for the construction of rio. later, its name was changed to quentin bocaiúva. it is also noteworthy, quentin bocaiúva was artur antunes coimbra or, as he is better known - zico's neighborhood.
