The district can be thought of as divided into two distinct sectors or sections, delimited by Morros da Helena (Hills of Helena), and Pedra do Padre (Stone of the Father). A significant point of reference in the district is Praça Delfos (Delphi Square), which is popularly known as Praça B (Plaza B), and contains a sports court, a beach volleyball court, a children's playground and some pleasant gardens.

There is also a samba school in the district, called União do Parque Curicica (Union of Curicica Park). the Estádio Eustáquio Marques (Eustáquio Marques Stadium) is located on Rua André Rocha, and hosts some of the city's professional football games. The region is also home to the prestigious and important media network, Central Globo de Produções (Central Globo Productions), and Rede Globo. arrow-back      arrow-forward
