One of the most charming and authentic places to visit in Rio is the fish colony located at posto 6 on Copacabana beach the cólonia de Pescadores Z-13. facing calm seas and clear waters, this section of coast was originally selected by fisherman as an ideal place to raise families and keep boats. It is tucked away at the end of the coastal strip, detached from much of the noise, chaos and buzz of Copacabana beach. The powerful forte de copacabana, or 'Copacabana Fort', looms over the scene, along with a spattering of Almond trees and other greenery, which add to the atmosphere of peaceful isolation.
