TV Brasil is a state-owned televsion channel that aims to divulge and promote cultural, educational and artistic programs. In Rio, their programs can be tuned in channel 2 VHF and 41 UHF. This channel is an important window to showcase national independent productions in form of movies, documentaries, short series and other art forms, but also presents news, talk shows and sports, besides special events like some carnival parades across Brazil. Although they are a state-owned TV channel, they are not an official communication channel by brazilian government, and there are other channels for keeping up with the daily activities of the politicians. |
