every sunday, on largo do boiadeiro there is a fair of arts, crafts, and other products from the brazilian north-east, which offers an interesting alternative or complement to ipanema 's famous sunday's hippie fair. among many other social and cultural events, every july rocinha now also has an annual gay pride parade.
