at a glance

The neighborhood harbors some important industries, including the Distrito Industrial Fazenda Botafogo, or the 'Botafogo Industrial District Farm', which take advantage of the significant access routes in the region.

interestingly, the railroad was deactivated in 1960 and replaced by the subway. For many years locals were served be nearby stations, until the new Coelho Neto station was finally opened in 1998.

A number of effluents cross the district of Coelho Neto, one of them is acari, or 'Acari River', whose shores are lined by trees.
