getting to barra beach via public transportation is relatively uncomplicated, but commuters should be aware that buses from the south zone run along the main avenue in barra, which is somewhat removed from the shore. 

there are a variety of hotels and pousadas along barra beach, as well as apart-hotels where rooms or apartments can be rented for longer periods. we selected a few and included them in our  accommodations section -  generally speaking, lodging in this area is rather exclusive, which is reflected in the prices.
