at a glance

the best way to enjoy this part of rio is to start the day very early, to allow for varying travel times - alternatively, it would be smart to consider spending one night in a local pousada, so to start exploring right away the following day.

estrada de grumari connects grumari beach to estrada roberto burle marx, and in turn to the marambaia. for first-time visitors, the best way to reach the area would be via taxi. the cost is best divided 4-way, the maximum number of passengers allowed in a regular taxi - an average taxi ride will be about 80 minutes each way, and may total about 300 reals roundtrip.   arrow-back      arrow-forward
