The landscaper was a true artist of 'living monuments', and his work contributed to the cultural enrichment of the country - The Sítio Roberto Burle Marx, in Barra de Guaratiba, Rio de Janeiro, is an extraordinary landscaping achievement, boasting an area of 360 thousand meters squared and a collection of more than three thousand and five hundred species, it was named Patrimônio Cultural Brasileiro (a Brazilian cultural heritage site) in 1985.
