Some films, such as 'Cidade de Deus' ('City of God') and 'Trope de Elite' ('The Elite Troop'). These have had a significant international impact, contributing to the construction and propagation of a generalized image of Brazilian cities as extremely violent and chaotic urban centers, where insecurity rules as the State has lost control of the situation and the people live in a reality of complete abandonment. The objective: analyze the possible impact of these films on the flow of tourism in Brazil, and above all the city of Rio de Janeiro.
