2 pm: Mirante do Leblon - a quick detour while en route from the jardim botânico back to the shore, This is a large, wooden lookout deck situated in the dazzling, trendy neighborhood of leblon.

From this point, one can enjoy wonderful views of leblon and ipanema, all the way to the rock of arpoador, as well as the emerald oceans that lap the bay, and there is a charming little fishing point where one can watch professionals and amateurs catching their fare.

The impressive deck is formed of wood, supported by the jutting rocks on the edge of the shore, beyond which are the towering hills and mountains of Rio.

On site, there are two kiosks, where one can buy and enjoy sweet, refreshing and succulent coconut water while taking in the magnificent beauty of the surroundings.
