at a glance

the jardim is the only mall in the area and also one of the biggest in rio de janeiro. comprising more than 200 stores and serving an estimated population of more than one and a half million, it has become the economical heart of guadalupe. the construction was a massive endeavor, which took more than two years to be completed. the mall was opened to the public in 2011.

beyond the large complexes and smaller stores, the neighborhood also offers recreational spaces and religious institutions.
