The work aims to reflect upon the importance of psychopedagogy and its use in workshops which discuss ethical-moral and social values, amongst young people between the ages of 12 and 17 in a non-governmental institution within the community of Engenho Novo in Rio de Janeiro. The study examines how psychopedagogy can help in the transmission of values in the formal education of adolescents. The overall objective is to illuminate the concept of psychopedagogical intervention as a valid and useful tool in educational work with adolescents in workshops on human-ethical-social ideas.
